Level Access Lifts Make It Easy (for The ‘easy’ Hotel Group)
Just a few weeks before the first easy Hotel was due to open, Mr Roger Powell (General Manager) was told by the appointed lift supplier “sorry our lift won’t fit”. In desperation, Mr Powell contacted Level Access Lifts (who were recommended by a colleague). Level Access Lifts were straight on the case, visited site and provided him with an alternative solution. The lift was supplied and installed in time for the grand opening of the first ‘easy Hotel’ in London.
The lift used was Level Access Lifts Garaventa Artira model which can be installed externally. The lift was installed on the main entrance staircase, providing disabled access to the hotel from pavement level.
As the lift folds away when not in use, the stairs are kept free for conventional use by ambulant customers and staff. To add originality to the lift, it was finished in two tone colours to blend in with the hotels refurbished exterior. |
