Ramp Options for Steplifts and Platform Stairlifts
If it is not possible to excavate a shallow pit for a Vertical Platform Lift, then a fixed ramp can often be used to gain access onto the lift platform. On other lift types such as Steplifts and Platform Stairlifts, the platform can be accessed by an automatic folding ramp or an integral ramp (which forms part of the platform flooring).
