A Low Pit Passenger lift is a (somewhat contradictory) term often used to describe a Platform Lift that offers the same user experience as a passenger lift over a small number of floors, but is typically less expensive. This lift type will have a cabin on the platform, sliding doors on the cabin and at the landing and one touch (latching) buttons. The benefits of this type of lift are that the pit only needs to be between 100-200mm deep and the installation typically requires only minimal builders work.
